Press Release: Christmas “Adopt-A-Family” Event – December 2007

Fort Lauderdale – December 12, 2007 – A New Horizon Credit Counseling Services, a national financial education and credit counseling firm, with USI Insurance services, has organized a Christmas event for an area family in financial need who would not otherwise been able to have a Christmas holiday.

A New Horizon, based in Fort Lauderdale, realizing that communities are experiencing financial crisis from a lack luster job market and over usage of credit cards, looked for a way to bring some form of direct help during the holiday season.

To meet this desire, this year, A New Horizon and USI Insurance teamed together to approach CBS4’s Neighbors for Neighbors program. On December 12, A New Horizon’s staff, supervisors and managers brought gifts, decorations, and food to the home of a single mother with 6 children to provide a joyous, bountiful holiday gathering.

According to Angela Looney, A New Horizon’s Client Services Supervisor, “We all participated in the decorating and everyone had GOOSEBUMPS from all the excitement”. The family was very appreciative and everyone had a wonderful time together.
